Chet Lam              林一峰


Producer, singer, song writer, traveler. Chet Lam started his own label LYFE Music in 2003, and now has 15 critically and commercially acclaimed Cantonese, English and Mandarin albums and a long list of sold out live shows under his belt.

Much loved by music critics, specially in China, Lam has been notably awarded in various fields, including two-time Best Folk Artist of the Year in the Chinese Media Music Awards in China, Best song written for a movie in the Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, and Best Singer Songwriter in 903 Music Awards in Hong Kong. Apart from being one of the most important Chinese music icons of this generation, Lam is also a best selling author with 7 collective writings published so far, inlcuding his joint effort with Leif Creative for the bilingual cookbook 《Slow Foods in Asia's Fast Cities》.

Lam's fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English in writing and performing has brought him prestigious opportunities to be invited to collaborate with a lot of performing artists around the world including the French Bohemian group Moriarty and Grammy-nodded Venezuelen accapella group Vocal Sampling, writing national hits for acts such as Eason Chan, Stephanie Sun Yanzi, Elva Xiao, Sammi Cheng, Power Station, Gigi Leung to name a few.

Apart from his own signature one man music show, Lam has been organizing concerts for such music acts like Hanjin, FAMA, at17, my little airport with his label LYFE. From 2012 Lam started another production house 'Seeing Creative', organizing a series of innovative shows. 'Singing Hands', which Lam originally curated for the Hong Kong Arts Festival programme featuring percussion artist Arai Soichiro proved to be a big success, SC since has launched 'The Future Sounds of Hong Kong' Music Festival, featuring 5 of the best Hong Kong based bands: Chokchukmo, Supper Moment, Rednoon, Modern Children and ToNick, each has their own headline shows in the summer of 2012.

From 2015, Lam founded a crowd funding website for musician with Hong Kong fellow musicians Vicky Fung and Victor Tse, with Hong Kong based multi-media force Why Interactive. The first project launched on MusicBee was Crossroads, Lam's 15th album, and proved to be a big success in terms of media response and funding.

香港創意工業工 作者,音樂人,作者,旅行者。2003年創立獨立廠牌 LYFE Music (一峰工作室),至今發表個人粵語、國語及英語專輯15張,並與不同國家藝人團體合作演出,如法國藍調樂隊Moriarty,古巴清唱組合Vocal Sampling等;2003年首度與W Theatre聯同茜利妹創作及主演音樂劇場【馴情記】,開流行音樂與劇場跨媒體合作風氣之先;2004年3月受香港藝術節邀請與Ketchup及the pancakes演出藝術節節目 【1、2、3到你】音樂會,十月於伊利沙佰體育館舉行首次個人演唱會;05年再度與W Theatre合作音樂劇場《你今日拯救咗地球未呀?》,並邀得蘇玉華任女主角;同年與流行歌手楊千嬅舉行拉闊音樂會;2006年開始替自己及其他獨立單 位舉辦音樂會, 包括農夫、野仔、my little airport、at17及與the pancakes等,致力推行香港音樂及表演文化;2007年與W Theatre三度合辦音樂劇場《一期一會》,與東亞娛樂及香港劇場界精英攜手再掀起熱潮。2011年三月再度受香港藝術節邀請,聯同藝術策展人/歌手黃 馨及音樂監製馮翰銘演出多媒體音樂節目及推出概念專輯《花訣》,叫好叫座,更在中國內地引起極大迴響。2006年至2011年,於劇場多次舉 行《一峰一人一結他》演唱會,口碑載譽。

林除替中港台流行歌手組合如孫燕 姿,蕭亞軒,陳 奕迅,黃耀明,周筆暢,張信哲,梁詠琪等創作曲詞外,至今已推出5本個人散文作品【音樂. 旅 . 情】,【隨身聽 . 隨心唱】,【思生活】,【遊子意外】,結他譜散文集【一峰一人一結他】以及中英對照食譜【慢煮快活】(Slow Food in Asia's Fast Cities)。


2012年,林成立《思人創作》工作室,繼續以「用音樂養音樂」的精神,替其他單位舉辦音樂會,包括敲擊音樂家荒井壯一郎的《Singing Hands》,與及策劃主辦香港獨立音樂節《The Future Sounds of Hong Kong Music Festival》。

2015年,林與音樂人馮穎琪與謝國維,連同來自香港的多媒體創作公司Why Interactive成立音樂眾籌網站音樂蜂,獲得極大迴響,第一個眾籌案子就是林的第十五張專輯《Crossroads》,空前成功。
